    The Flowers
    ..I LOVE FLOWERS....

Tradition, morals or different sensibilty: it doesn't matter, because this type of present always meets women's liking and great sensibilty. On the contrary, men look sometimes embarassed, not only when they receive them (probably because they aren't used to), but also when they offer them. How many women complain because their partner doesn't present them a bunch of flowers? So, please them! Offering flowers was once considered an important sign of interest, but now fathers look less worried about their daughters' marriage, so it would be great if men offered them more to their partners. For traditional days, for common anniversaries or simply - and probably they're far more appreciated - for an estemporaneous kindness, a floral present is a simple and pleasant idea. Flowers have many vitues: they take joy, they often scent, they can brighten and arrange the saddest hovel and they convey peace and positiveness.

They are a perfect way to communicate without using words: it's evident that presenting a bunch is a kind idea (presenting, not throwing), able to show love and attention and even a specific message according to the chosen flower. A flower keeps in itself love and life, the immortality of natural beauty so it isn't a simple inanimated object.
Doesn't a woman burst into love in front of her own man offering her a beautiful bouquet?
This present is one of the most ancien signs of benevolence and respect; crowning the strongest knights with garlands is a tradition dating back to the ancient Rome, just as adorning girls in during holidays. For Aztechs flowers weren't a simple embellishment, but one of the most important symbols of their esoteric practices. Flower is one of their twenty signs indicating days; symbol of noble and precious things, a symbol involving scents and drinks. Even in the old continent flowers were an important reference, symbols of cities and noble families. As most Japanese lovers certainly know, in Cipango there's a real culture linked to floral arrangement, called IKEBANA. It's a very ancient art, and it corresponds to precise taiost canons. In this discipline, the flower is considered a spontaneous and natural manifestation, without any artificialities and so a perfect thing. The arrangement is made according to a triple scheme, where the longest branch stands for the Sky, the medium for Man and the shortest one for Earth.

So man becomes the intermediary between Sky and Earth and there is no arrangement without this scheme. Stems have to counterbalance each other in the space, just as the three natural forces have to harmonize to form Universe. The IKEBANA arrangements are fine and elegant; thanks to their particul visual impact, they can be a pleasant present - for Asian girls, of course - but also for women loving this type of creations or opened to different experiences. Finally, what can be considered a romantic sign - too romantic for somebody - is in reality one of the oldest and most spontaneous means of human communication. Maybe, people not practising it, have nothing to say…
